Private Stellenbosch Wine Tour with Guests from Chile, the UK, the USA and Spain

One of the highlights of this week’s private Stellenbosch wine tour was hosting four guests from four different countries – Chile, the United Kingdom, the United States and Spain. Although they all came from different backgrounds, they shared one thing in common: a love of good wine, great food and beautiful scenery.

We started the day at Babylonstoren, one of the Cape Winelands’ most famous wine estates. Surrounded by spectacular gardens and mountain views, my guests enjoyed a relaxed wine tasting accompanied by a delicious charcuterie board before sitting down for lunch at the Greenhouse Restaurant.

After lunch we continued to Lanzerac Wine Estate, one of South Africa’s most historic wineries and the birthplace of Pinotage. Besides tasting some excellent wines, we explored the historic cellar and learnt more about the estate’s long winemaking tradition.

As the afternoon drew to a close, we finished the tour at Le Grand Domaine in Stellenbosch. The relaxed atmosphere made it the perfect place to enjoy a final tasting while reflecting on a fantastic day exploring the Cape Winelands.

After the wine tastings, we spent some time enjoying Stellenbosch’s lively evening atmosphere with good food and great conversation before heading back to Cape Town.

It was a pleasure spending the day with such a friendly international group, and I would like to thank them for making it such an enjoyable experience. These shared moments with guests from around the world are one of the reasons I enjoy being a private wine tour guide.
