A Wild Day in the Cape: A Private Cape Town Wildlife Tour

One of the things I love about creating a private Cape Town wildlife tour is the freedom to design an experience that is a little different—and this was certainly one of those days.

And Up-Close Cheetah Encounter

We began at Cheetah Outreach with a private 30-minute cheetah interaction. It was an incredible opportunity to get close to one of Africa’s most beautiful animals while learning more about the conservation and care of these remarkable cats.

More Than Just Giraffes

Our next stop was Giraffe House, which turned out to be a wonderful surprise. Despite the name, there is much more to see than giraffes, with snakes, birds, llamas and several other animals creating a completely different wildlife experience.

Wildlife and Wine at Vredenheim

From there, we continued to Vredenheim in Stellenbosch. After visiting the Big Cat Park—home to lions, tigers and leopards—we enjoyed a wine tasting on the estate. It was the perfect way to combine two of the Cape’s great attractions: wildlife and wine.

Dinner in Stellenbosch

We ended the day with an excellent dinner at The Fat Butcher in Stellenbosch, bringing a memorable Cape adventure to a fitting close.

The Freedom of a Private Tour

That is what makes a private tour special. The best days do not always need to follow a conventional itinerary—they simply need the right combination of memorable places, authentic experiences and good company.
