On Saturday, I had the pleasure of hosting a Cape Peninsula tour for a returning guest from the Netherlands and a friend ā which always makes the experience even more special.
Thereās something different about showing someone around when theyāve already experienced it before. It becomes less about ticking boxes and more about enjoying the moments along the way.
A Smooth Start at Boulders Beach š§

We started a bit later than usual, but surprisingly, there wasnāt much of a queue at Boulders Beach ā which made for a relaxed and easy start to the day.
The African penguins are always a highlight, and itās one of those places that never gets old, no matter how many times you visit.
Cape Point Adventures šļø

At Cape Point, we encountered some traffic at the entrance, but it was still very manageable.
We spotted a few baboons along the way ā always an exciting sight ā and this time we decided to take the funicular up to the lighthouse for a change. Instead of taking it back down, we walked, which gave us the chance to take in the views properly.
From Ostriches to Kalk Bay š¦©š
After Cape Point, we made our way to the Cape Point Ostrich Farm ā a stop my guest specifically requested after enjoying it on a previous tour.
We fed the ostriches, had a good laugh, and kept things light and fun before heading to Kalk Bay.
Kalk Bay always brings a completely different energy ā vibrant, relaxed, and full of character. My guests grabbed something to eat, explored the town, and visited the harbour to see the sea lions.
The Perfect Ending via Chapmanās Peak š

To finish the day, we drove back via Chapmanās Peak Drive, stopping along the way to take in the views.
Itās always the perfect way to end a Cape Peninsula tour ā slowing things down, enjoying the scenery, and reflecting on the day.
Final Thoughts
This tour had a bit of everything:
⢠Wildlife encounters
⢠Iconic viewpoints
⢠Relaxed coastal towns
⢠And plenty of great moments along the way
Thank you to my returning guest and his friend for another awesome day out šš»
